As the most visited French destination outside of Paris, Nice’s weather can be summarized as… well… nice! The city boasts a hot mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild winters. Rainfall across the year varies month by month. During the summer, it’s typical to go weeks without seeing a drop of precipitation. Rainfall picks up dramatically during the transition to autumn, with September being the rainiest month of the year (at over 100mm).
Summer air temperatures are often quite dry and comfortable, ranging from 19°C to 26°C. The warmest months are July and August.
In the winter months, temperatures dip to a range of 8°C to 14°C, with weather that tends to alternate between short periods of dry, sunny days, and damp, cool days.
