The island of Mallorca is among the most visited tourist destinations in all of Spain. Its capital, Palma, boasts a hot mediterranean climate that is characterized by hot summers and mild winters. Precipitation is light throughout most of the year except for an extended rainy period from late September to early November.
During the summer months, average air temperatures range from 22°C to 30°C with daily highs sometimes crossing the 30°C threshold. Rainy days are few and far between throughout the summer. July, the driest month, sees only 3-6mm of rain. This changes toward late September though, where precipitation picks up to 50mm to 70mm until winter.
The coldest air temperatures come in December and January where daily averages range from 9°C to 15°C.
