This island destination is located off the southern shores of mainland Cuba, and offers tourists a more natural vacation environment than that of its neighbouring hotspots to the north. Its tropical climate offers hot and sunny, albeit humid, weather. Throughout the year, temperatures range between 17°C and 32°C with the hottest months being during the middle of its rainy season (July and August). During the dry season (November to April), rainfall is less frequent but comes in quick, strong bursts.
Water temperatures in Cayo Largo are often close to air temperatures, so transitioning from the beach to the ocean should be a seamless experience.
