Although technically part of the Caribbean, Freeport is located further north than Miami, Florida. It features a tropical climate, with average daily temperatures ranging from 19°C to 24°C in the winter and 24°C to 30°C in the summer.
During the dry season (November to April), precipitation is rare, and 7 to 8 hours of sunshine per day is typical. Conversely, during the rainy season (May to October), precipitation tends to come down in strong, quick bursts, and upwards of 9 hours of sunshine can still be expected.
Breezy weather is relatively consistent in Freeport due to its geography on the northern edge of the easterly trade wind channels. In summer months, Freeport is susceptible to stronger winds although severe hurricanes are quite rare.
