Burning Man exodus turned into hours-long ordeal as dust storm hits festival

Attendees were forced to wait hours in a long 'exodus line.'

Nevada's Black Rock Desert was hit with a dust storm Monday, the final day of Burning Man festival, leading to long departure delays.

Footage uploaded by Alejandra Haddad features a dust storm creating near-whiteout conditions. Organizers say some attendees were forced to wait over five hours in a lengthy 'exodus line' before leaving.

This marks the second consecutive year severe weather disrupted the festival's end. In 2023, heavy rainstorms caused the desert to flood, leaving thousands stranded in the mud for days.
