Photos: Wind, whiteouts lead to massive crashes in S. Ont.
Biting winds in the wake of Sunday's major storm have led to travel chaos in Ontario on Monday.
A massive Texas low moved through Ontario on Sunday, and while the worst of the winds subsided overnight, Monday's strong gusts have still sparked whiteout conditions, leading to at least two major multi-car pileups.
On Monday, a crash involving 50-70 vehicles shut down a portion of Highway 400 in Barrie. No serious injuries have been reported.

Several crashes were reported in the Kawartha Lakes region as well, the largest involving 24 vehicles, forcing a closure on Highway 7 between Omemee and Emily Park Road.
While snow accumulations overall have been minimal in the wake of the storm, blizzard conditions have been widespread as wind gusts in excess of 80 km/h continue to rake the province.
The blustery conditions bring the threat of power outages as trees and power lines fall victim to the strong wind gusts.
