Damaging baseball-sized hail smashes through parts of North Texas
Baseball-sized left its mark across parts of Texas Wednesday night.
Severe thunderstorms that tore through parts of North Texas and Oklahoma on Wednesday night brought not only gusty winds and heavy, flooding rains, but also large and damaging hail to several parts of the region.

From golfball to baseball size, severe hail was reported throughout the night, big enough to shatter a car’s rear window.

The National Weather Service issued tornado warnings for much of North Texas, but called them off shortly before 9 p.m. Tornado watches lingered longer through the overnight hours, with flash flood warnings issued for several counties as well.
