The most supportive way to help our pollinators is to plant a wide diversity of blooming plants in your garden.
While native plant species are the most helpful to pollinators, you can also include ornamentals not local to your area, according to Kris Morettie, a horticulturalist with TERRA Greenhouses.
It is a good time to be thinking of gardening since May 20 is known as World Bee Day, designated by the United Nations to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators, the threats they face and their contributions to sustainable development.
