Extending the growing season for our coldest climates would help make northern communities more self-sufficient
Several researchers from across the country — spanning from P.E.I to Whitehorse — are joining forces on a three-year project aimed to learn how (and if) temperate-climate season extension technologies like bioplastics and low tunnels can increase vegetable production and help increase food security in colder climates such as those in Canada’s North.
