Wild turkeys attack pregnant woman twice in one week
Those turkeys might change their mind when Thanksgiving rolls around.
A gang of turkeys is giving residents in a Massachusetts neighbourhood a hard time.
Kendra Carlson, who is seven months pregnant, tells CNN she's been attacked twice in one week while out for a walk.
"Next thing I know I'm encircled, they're pecking at the back of my legs. A couple more appear and I cannot get away," she tells the news outlet.
"[I'm] hovering over my belly, I'm kicking them behind me, I'm screaming bloody murder."
She now says she's on guard when she walks through her neighbourhood and she's not alone.
Two weeks ago workers had to use a shovel to fend off the angry mob.
Local fish and wildlife officials say they've received several complains -- most of them relating to the flock that's been targeting Carlson.
Experts say their rude behaviour is common in the spring because it's mating season.
"It's literally just part of their mating ritual where they're trying to assert dominance within their group of within their flock." David Scarpitti. a turkey biologist tells CNN.
