Canada is well below international standards for clear lens UV protection

Lenses that do reach the international standard are becoming more widely available

Experts are warning that Canadians might be turning a blind eye to UV protection in clear prescription lenses.

Majority of these lenses only block a portion of UV rays and experts say that this could cause harm to our eyes.

In addition to a lack of awareness about this issue, experts say that there is a considerable disconnect between Canadian standards for clear lens UV protection and international standards.
